This post was inspired by Lady Catherine, the Earl, and the Real Downton Abbey by The Countess of Carnarvon. Learn more about the family who lived in Highclere Castle, where the popular British series Downton Abbey is filmed. Join From Left to Write on Dec. 17, when we discuss Lady Catherine, the Earl, and the Real Downton Abbey. As a member, I received a copy of the book for review purposes.
A little over a month ago I found out the From Left to Write December book was going to be Lady Catherine, the Earl, and the Real Downton Abbey.
Approximately 3.265443 seconds later, I completed the form to sign up to receive the book. I’m a
HUGE little bit of a Downton Abbey fan, you see. And while I admit I was late to the viewing game, once I finally started watching (after seasons 1 and 2 had finished), I was immediately hooked.
As in, huddled up on the couch watching on Netflix for 2 days straight, hooked.
I’m not sure what my kids were doing and where they were that weekend. I’m sure my husband and the kids had a fun hanging out and doing interesting things that weekend.
The day the book arrived, I opened the packaging and was immediately drawn to make my November Houzz.com Ideabook all about Downton Abbey inspired kitchen and dining. A virtual board of all the little things I believe would make a modern kitchen and dining room exude Crawley family finery and Ms. Patmore’s sensible, practical cookery.
Are you as hooked on Downton Abbey as I am?
